'Dominga's Photo Studio' took place at the Bridge Tender House, an on-site extension of the Wolfsonian-FIU museum, on December 1st - 8th, 2021. The project payed tribute to studio photography and its role in documenting contemporary culture. The storefront invited the public wanderer into the studio to take highly curated and posed portraits that were developed by collaging together various images by Carl Van Vechten that are in the Wolfsonian collection. In exchange for their photograph, the sitter left with a printed portrait. The photo studio also incorporated other aspects in the collection including over 50 textiles by the Viennese Workshop that were collaged together to create the backdrop tapestry for the pictures. The storefront sign was also crafted after a design in a sign book within the collection.

The project would not be possible without the support from the City of Miami Beach Open House program, Bakehouse Art Complex, and the Wolfsonian Museum.
